The luggage that passengers bring to the airport can be divided into two types: “carry-on luggage” and “checked luggage.”

There are prohibited items that cannot be carried on an aircraft as well as restricted items that cannot be brought aboard an aircraft. For a smooth boarding process, prepare your luggage by checking for these items before coming to the airport.

Complete your boarding procedures at the self-service check-in kiosks or at the counter before the check-in deadline. (Be aware that check-in deadlines differ according to the airline.)

Allow plenty of time to arrive at the airport.

Terminal 1 international departure gate is in the central of the fourth floor. 

Complete your boarding procedure at a check-in terminal or at a counter before proceeding to your departure gate.

Customs and embarkation procedures

Customs

Customs procedure is also necessary when leaving the country.

Customers who are carrying foreign goods or cash equivalent to 1 million yen, etc. should fill out the required items in the prescribed forms and present these to Customs in order to complete the customs procedure.

 

 

Immigration

  • Facial Recognition Gates

If you meet the following conditions, please prepare your passport and proceed to the Facial Recognition Gates.

For both Japanese and foreigners

  1. You must have an IC passport.
  2. You must be able to operate the machine alone when using the Facial Recognition Gates.
  3. You must be at least 135 cm tall.

 

Foreigners only

4.The foreign national must reside with the status of "Temporary Visitor" and intend to depart from Japan (except for departure by re-entry permit.).

 

 

  • Fingerprint Recognition Gates 

Japanese and foreign nationals residing in Japan who have registered their fingerprints in advance can use the automated gate (Fingerprint Recognition Gates) to apply for departure. For details, see the following pages.
