E-gates (automated gates)
Automated gates have been set up in front of each international departure gate. Each gate reads the barcode on a boarding pass and uses flight information to determine if a passenger has a valid boarding pass before the gate automatically opens and closes.
E-gates achieve a smoother departure procedure and further promote “Fast Travel*” by automating the boarding pass checking procedure.
* “Fast Travel” is the IATA (International Air Transport Association) and ACI’s (Airports Council International) recommended initiatives that aim to provide travelers with efficient services through smooth check-in and other procedures.
How to use the gate
Scan the barcode on your ticket within the blue frame found below the information screen. Proceed through the gate once it opens.
