The luggage that passengers bring to the airport can be divided into two types: “carry-on luggage” and “checked luggage.”
There are prohibited items that cannot be carried on an aircraft as well as restricted items that cannot be brought aboard an aircraft. For a smooth boarding process, prepare your luggage by checking for these items before coming to the airport.

Customs and embarkation procedures
Customs
Passengers who purchased duty-free items at tax-free shops in the market must submit their “export duty purchase record” to the customs counter.
Immigration
Please prepare your passport and complete the departure procedures.
If you meet the following conditions, please prepare your passport and proceed to the Facial Recognition Gates.
(Japanese and foreign nationals residing in Japan who have registered their fingerprints in advance can use the automated gate (Fingerprint Recognition Gates) to apply for departure. For details, see the following pages.)
For both Japanese and foreigners
- You must have an IC passport.
- You must be able to operate the machine alone when using the Facial Recognition Gates.
- You must be at least 135 cm tall.
Foreigners only
4. The foreign national must reside with the status of "Temporary Visitor" and intend to depart from Japan (except for departure by re-entry permit.).
