Learn about the airport by looking, listening, touching, and experiencing it first-hand. We now offer unique tours and learning facilities!
The floor is divided into different areas: the airport’s history, how the airport operates, learning about aircrafts, and an attractions area. You will certainly enjoy learning about the Kansai International Airport and its aircrafts.
The museum is full of interesting exhibits – take a look at the massive Terminal Building made at a scale of 1/72 with a 30 m length, the passenger apron models, the various simulators that allow you to experience working in the sky, and the impressive 200-inch, large screen movie theater.
From elementary school students on a field trip to adults, everyone is sure to be amazed by the fun facts and newly acquired experiences from the Sky Museum.

- Reservations are required for group visits (16 people or more). Please contact us by phone in advance. Please note that the facility will not be reserved exclusively for your group.
- If a guided tour is scheduled at the same time as your group visit, the tour guests will be given priority. Thank you for your understanding.

Learning Corner with models and videos
This corner will teach you about the process involved in building Japan’s first artificial island, the Kansai International Airport island.
In addition to watching video recordings of that time, this area offers models of elaborately made workboats and civil engineering machinery.

Experience working at the airport through a simulator
Check which airport jobs you would excel at using computer-based analytics. You can learn about the many job types at the airport through our panel and video equipment.
Make sure you don’t miss the CA drilling video – this recording was exclusively granted to us for this display.
You can also visit the simulators of an actual-sized cockpit, cabin, control tower, towing vehicles and aircraft marshalling to experience real-life airport work.

Learn about passenger aircraft manufacturing through illustrations
This exhibit introduces the journey of a passenger aircraft (Boeing 777) from its initial planning stage to final assembly at the factory, using illustrated panels.
Aircraft Flight Learning Corner
Learn about early aviation through illustrations
Why are planes able to fly? How are they controlled? This and other interesting information on early flight logistics is available through many illustrations at this corner.

Sound experience room
You can listen to a wide variety of airport and aircraft sounds in the sound-proof room equipped with a stereophonic sound system.
You’ll be impressed by the sounds of jet passenger aircraft landing and taking off - you’ll feel as though they are right there!

A corner for testing your knowledge – everyone from children to adults will enjoy this section. How many correct answers can you give?
Kid’s Corner
An indoor playground themed around the sky and airplanes. Even young children who may find the museum exhibits a bit challenging can enjoy this space safely and comfortably.
