How to Get to Wakayama | JR Express
Taking the JR is the most economical way to travel from Kansai Airport to Wakayama, costing only 880 JPY ($5.55 USD). However, a transfer is
required:first, take the Kansai Airport Line to Hineno Station, then transfer to the Hanwa Line for Wakayama Station. The total travel time is
about 50 minutes.
Note: When transferring at Hineno, you might encounter the "Kuroshio Express." This train is much faster but costs more than double the
standard fare.
It is recommended to take the Kuroshio only if you hold a valid JR Pass.
