Passenger Service Facilities Charge (PSFC)

This charge is used for the maintenance and operation of passenger service facilities used by passengers, including the terminal lobby and flight information systems, as well as for providing services such as luggage carts and passenger assistance.

 

Passenger Security Service Charge (PSSC)

This charge is used to ensure passenger security, including baggage screening with security inspection equipment, hijacking prevention measures, and the maintenance of security within the terminal building.

 

Payment method

This charge is collected together with your airfare at the time of ticket issuance.

 

Price

Charges include tax.

*  When an adult airline ticket is used, the passenger is classified as an adult; when a discounted child airline ticket is used, the passenger is classified as a child.

*  Infants under two years of age travel free of charge.
(However, when an adult airline ticket is used, the passenger is classified as an adult; when a discounted child airline ticket is used, the passenger is classified as a child.)

*  Connecting passengers are defined as passengers who, after arriving at the passenger terminal building, depart within 24 hours using the same airline ticket or equivalent, regardless of whether they enter the country, and who are traveling onward to a destination other than the point immediately preceding their arrival at Kansai International Airport.

* Passengers aged 3 to under 12 are classified as children.

* Any passengers who do not fall under the above definitions of “Children” or “Infants” are classified as adults.
