Environmental facilitity tour for local elementary school students

We organized a KIX summer vacation special event "Parent-child environment tour" for local elementary school students (upper grades) and their parents to provide them with an opportunity to learn in a fun way, the environmental initiatives conducted at KIX. In addition to the aspects of the airport facilities where aircraft take off and land, tours and demonstrations were held starting with the explanation of the airport's functions as a social infrastructure as well as the environmental facilities that process energy, water, waste and other materials needed to operate the airport with as little impact on the environment as possible. In addition, we toured the service road and the fire station, which are not normally accessible. A booklet summarizing our SDG activities has also been distributed to be used as a summer vacation research project. If you are interested, please check out the PDF below.

Creating an organization that makes it easy for everyone to work

Creating an organization that makes it easy for everyone to work

Kansai Airports have employees of all ages, genders and nationalities.
We are working to create an organization that respects individual differences and diversity.

  • Achieving the legal employment rate for persons with disabilities
  • Increasing the ratio of female managers
  • Promoting childcare leave for both male and female employees
  • Eliminating core time under flextime system for those with special circumstances such as childcare, nursing care, and hospital visits
  • Support for foreign employees, etc.

The airport is a place where various people come and go, so employees' background varies, too!

Becoming a company where employees can exercise their abilities with peace of mind

Becoming a company where employees can exercise their abilities with peace of mind

We have established a variety of systems so that each employee can choose the workstyle that suits them and make the most of their abilities.

We have introduced a flextime system that allows employees to choose their "working hours," a remote work system that gives them options of their "working places," and a variety of leave and absence systems, including leave that can be used for sickness and injuries or nursing.

Kansai Airports's workstyle reform is defined as increasing the diversity of workstyles and supporting each employee to make the most of their abilities.
We provide support for realizing individual career and life plans, as well as a system that allows employees to maintain work-life balance even with changes in their living environment, such as pregnancy, childbirth, childcare, and nursing care.

Airport tours to deepen understanding of airports and aircraft

Airport tours to deepen understanding of airports and aircraft

We hold classes and airport tours for local elementary schools so that children living in the area around KIX and ITAMI can deepen their interest in and understanding of airports and aircraft.
Through activities in coexistence with local communities that provide children with learning experiences, we are working to expand opportunities for co-education, raise awareness of airport initiatives toward the realization of a sustainable society, and develop human resources who will be responsible for the aviation industry in the future.

In addition, the KIX Observation Hall "Sky View" offers bus tours such as Exciting Kansai Airport Tour, which allows visitors to see the back end of the airport.

There are many events unique to three airports in Kansai!

There are many events unique to three airports in Kansai!

The Kansai Airports Group will contribute to the development of local communities and local economy with the aim of creating an airport that is familiar to local residents. As one example, three airports in the Kansai region hold a number of events to give visitors a sense of the attractiveness of airport jobs and aircraft.

Among these events, "Sky Day" is held on September 20 simultaneously at the three airports in cooperation with airlines and airport staff. It is an enjoyable event both for grownups and children.

In addition, we hold the "Runway Walk" where visitors can see parked aircraft, chemical fire engines while walking along the runway, which is not normally accessible, and it was well received by many participants. We will continue to work to deepen the understanding and interest of local people in the aviation industry through such events.
