Enjoy our stylish and hearty Edomae tendon, made with our secret donburi sauce.
Kaneko Hannosuke, a leading figure in the world of Japanese cuisine, was born in Asakusa, a typical Tokyoite of his time who loved the downtown area and Japanese food more than anyone else. After repeated trials and errors to recreate the secret Edomae donburi sauce in the cookbook that Hannosuke left behind, and which was never shared with anyone, we finally achieved the perfect bowl of tendon. This tendon, stylish and hearty, is the very embodiment of Edomae “chic.” Kanekohannosuke Nihonbashi Tendon was born out of our desire to make this Edomae tendon available to many people at an affordable price.
Edomae Tendon
The Edomae Tendon is a hearty and voluminous dish topped with generous servings of carefully selected conger eel, shrimp, squid, soft-boiled egg, and more. Stylish and cheerful, it embodies Kaneko Hannosuke's idea of an affordable tendon bowl. This is a delicacy that allows you to enjoy the perfect balance of its three elements: tempura fried in high-temperature sesame oil, a secret donburi sauce and rice.
