Smart lane

Smart lanes

Smart lanes were installed as part of the “Fast Travel” initiative to reduce wait times for passengers. Smart lanes make it possible for multiple passengers to use the same inspection lane at the same time, further easing congestion and allowing passengers to smoothly complete the luggage inspection process.

How to use

  • 1 When it is your turn, proceed to an unoccupied slot.
When you arrive at an inspection lane, there will be three carry-on loading slots. When it is your turn, proceed to an unoccupied slot.
  • 2 Take a tray from below the table, and then place your luggage and any other belongings into the tray.
Take a tray from below the table. Take out your carry-on luggage, liquids in a zippered plastic bag, as well as your mobile phone and any metallic items you may have in your pockets, and then place them into the tray that you took out. Outerwear such as jackets and coats should also be placed into the tray.
Remove any shoes that cover your ankles, such as high-top sneakers, safety shoes and boots, and thick-soled shoes. Change into slippers and place your shoes into a tray.
  • 3 Push the tray forward. Once the tray starts moving down the lane, proceed forward.
  • 4 Retrieve your belongings, and then proceed to the immigration counter.
  • 5 If your luggage has moved into the re-inspection lane, proceed to the inspection table at the end of the lane.
