Osaka International Airport Art Project The 1st Ozora Exhibit (Student Art Exhibit in Osaka International Airport)
The 1st Ozora Exhibit will be held from Monday April 1 to Monday May 6 as a part of the Osaka International Airport Art Project which has been held since 2018, where various art is exhibited throughout Osaka International Airport (Itami Airport). This exhibit will be hosted by Kansai Airports with Kansai universities that have art related departments as an industry-academia collaboration project.
The Ozora Exhibit will be held 3 times until the summer of 2020 in line with the grand opening of the terminal, which is currently undergoing renovations. The exhibit intends to showcase the daily works of university students that aspire to be artists and designers in cooperation with the people throughout the region.
For the commemorative 1st exhibit the theme is Airports. The exhibit features around 85 artworks from roughly 50 students currently enrolled at Osaka University of Arts, Kindai University, Kyoto City University of Arts, Kyoto Seika University and Kobe Design University. Various styles of art from Japanese style paintings, woodblock prints and textiles, as well as video and furniture that utilizes digital signage will be on display within Osaka International Airport.
