Restrictions Imposed in Wake of Foiled British Airliner Terrorist Plot

The US government has taken the following steps to all US airlines and all flights to any US destinations, including Hawaii, Guam and Saipan.

Your understanding and cooperation on this matter is highly appreciated.

  • NO LIQUIDS and GELS of any kind will be permitted in carry-on-baggage. ITEMS must be abandoned or IN CHECKED BAGGAGE ONLY.
  • Secondary security screening on carry-on baggage will also be carried out at boarding.

Liquids and gels include beverages, shampoo, suntan lotion, creams, toothpaste, hair gel, and other items of similar consistency.

Passengers may have:

  • Baby formula/milk and baby food in small containers if a baby or small child is traveling.
  • Prescription medicine.
  • Essential other non-prescription medicines. ( No greater than 4 ounces ( 120ml ) per container )
  • Liquids or gels for diabetic passengers who indicate a need for such items to address their medical condition. ( No greater than 5 ounces ( 148ml ) per container )
  • Travel-size-toiletries 3 ounces ( 90ml ) or less that fit comfortably in ONE, QUART-SIZE ( 1 liter ), clear plastic, zip-top bag.

  • As it would take time, please proceed to gates before enough time for boarding. Please pack your items into checked baggage as much as possible, and minimize your carry-on baggage.
