KIX Spring Festa 2019

At KIX Spring Festa 2019, everyone that makes use of Kansai International Airport will be greeted by various contents using one of the characteristic images of Japan: cherry blossoms.
During this year's Spring Festa, for the first time ever in Kansai, 3D Virtual Cherry Blossom Viewing Experience will be offered in the Terminal 1 Building 1F Central Area. Using the latest technology, 3D images of cherry blossoms will be projected on scenes of Osaka Castle, Maiko (apprentice geisha) and other attractions of the Kansai region, an experience which can seldom be had at an airport.
Furthermore, from April 4-5 (Thu. and Fri.) there will be a Sakura Sake Booth and from April 13-14 (Sat. and Sun.) the Ninja Cloth Zori Room Shoes Workshop will be available for visitors to enjoy making traditional Japanese handicrafts.

Sakura Sake Booth
(Terminal 1 Building 1F Central Area)
This event gathers all of the Kansai distilleries that participate in the Matsuo Shrine Sake-1 Grand Prix, the official event of Matsuo Shrine which is famous for its god of sake. At the booth, various sake can be tasted for free.
Dates: April 4-5 (Thu. and Fri.), 2019
Hours: 4th - 10 a.m. to around 5 p.m. / 5th - 11 a.m. to around 5 p.m.

Ninja Cloth Zori Room Shoes Workshop
(Terminal 1 Building 1F Central Area)
Visitors can make their own original Ninja Cloth Zori using cloth with the color and design of cherry blossoms. These traditional Japanese handicraft Zori can be used as room shoes or on the airplane as slippers.
Dates: April 13-14 (Sat. and Sun.), 2019
First workshop: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Second workshop: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
2 workshops per day. First 80 persons per workshop. (Acceptance finishes when the limit is reached)
