Kansai International Airport Ranks No. 4 Worldwide in 2006 Airport of the Year Survey

Kansai International Airport (KIX) has been rated the No. 4 airport in the overall rankings of the 2006 Airport of the Year Survey carried out by the London-based airline and airport research company Skytrax.
* The survey is the result of feedback from about 7.2 million respondents from over 90 countries, during the 9 months from September 2005 to May 2006.

KIX's rank in the survey has risen over the past few years, from No. 12 in 2003, to No. 9 in 2004, to No. 5 in 2005. In 2006, it surpassed Incheon International Airport (Seoul, Korea) to make the top 4. Respondents were particularly impressed by KIX's cleanliness, short waiting time to retrieve stored baggage, and smooth international departure and arrival procedures.
